Being the loner I am, I would never change for anyone.  It's just not worth the time or effort.  I've been in a relationship were the guy became unstable in security and loyalty.  After a year he began verbally abusing me by trying to change me into his "perfect house wife" soon to be.  We argued all the time.  He gave me his christian views, I gave him my scientific views.  Clashed all the time.  He did try to change me....it didn't work.  It never will, never has.  It doesn't matter who it is.  If they can't like you for who you are, it's a waste of time trying to think they would like you for anything more then what you aren't.  It's simple.  Move on. 

Keeping it to cartoons.  smurfs, as much as i love them, they were just plain weird.  A little more current.  Stewie from Family Guy.  I love the show, but seriously he is a scary dude!

Being a technician working in a nuclear lab.  Or being the person who has to come onto the site to de-activeate a live  bomb.

Getting the news that a new piece of equipment is coming into the lab and its possible this equipment may give me a full time job!  W00t!

I won 3rd prize in an art gallery contest for 3d artwork.  I had submitted three pieces of jewelry and the one pendant won the prize.  They gave me a certificate for local shopping for a 10% discount and $75.00 for an award.
